Following Pierre-Luc Dubois' departure from the Winnipeg Jets, the other half of that significant trade, Patrik Laine, now seeks an exit from Columbus.

Amid the arrivals of Patrik Laine and Johnny Gaudreau, Columbus was brimming with optimism. However, the 2023-24 season proved to be a disappointment, and it seems a major trade may be on the horizon.

Patrik Laine is reportedly eager for a change, with the Columbus Blue Jackets and his agent collaborating to facilitate a trade

Pierre LeBrun suggests there's a sentiment in Columbus that Laine desires a change, indicating that the team and his agent will collaborate to facilitate it.
Pierre LeBrun on Insider Trading reports Patrik Laine would like to move on from #CBJ and both team/agent will work together to try and get a trade done, he wants a fresh start.
During his four years with Columbus, Laine participated in 174 games, scoring 64 goals and accumulating 138 points. However, with another playoff absence this season, he is exploring new prospects. Despite demonstrating elite skill, Laine has struggled with consistency. Consequently, the trade market is anticipated to heat up in the summer as teams aim to bolster their roster in pursuit of the Stanley Cup.
