NHL icon Jaromir Jagr and legend in the world of hockey, has expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic loss of Johnny Gaudreau.

Gaudreau, who was known for his incredible skill despite his smaller stature, left a lasting impact on the NHL. In a heartfelt message shared on his Instagram, Jagr reminisced about the last goal he scored in the NHL, which was assisted by none other than Johnny 'Hockey' Gaudreau.
Jagr's message, originally written in Czech, translated:
"I honestly never thought I'd write a text like this to a post. Yea that was my last nhl goal Yes, that was a pretty nice goal. Yes, it was a beautiful pass above all. Unfortunately, life can sometimes be incredibly cruel. Thank you Johnny Gaudreau for being there and giving hope to all the guys with your incredible performances that though they are not the biggest and toughest, they can succeed at the NHL world class just like you did. My condolences to the whole family.
R.I.P. to you and your brother."

In his post, Jagr included a clip of the memorable goal they shared, a moment that now holds even more significance. It's clear that Jagr's admiration for Gaudreau goes beyond just his performance on the ice; it's a reflection of the person Johnny was and the legacy he leaves behind.
The passing of both Johnny and his brother Matthew has sent shockwaves through the hockey community. Jagr, who has always been vocal about his admiration for Gaudreau's talent, emphasized how Johnny's skill and perseverance served as an inspiration for players who may not fit the traditional mold of an NHL player. He acknowledged the significant role Gaudreau played in opening doors for smaller players in the league.
Jagr's words resonate with many in the hockey world who see Gaudreau as a trailblazer, someone who proved that size isn't everything in a sport dominated by larger players. His untimely passing is a reminder of the fragility of life, and Jagr's tribute serves as a poignant farewell to a player who made a lasting impression both on and off the ice.
Johnny Gaudreau will be remembered not just for his achievements in the NHL, but for the hope and inspiration he provided to countless aspiring players. As Jagr put it, his performances gave hope to those who didn't fit the typical NHL mold, proving that heart and skill can overcome physical limitations.
The hockey world mourns the loss of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, but their impact will continue to be felt for generations to come.
