The Anaheim Ducks sign former Vegas Golden Knights goaltender

Former Vegas Golden Knights goalie Oscar Dansk, has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Anaheim Ducks, which will expire after the 2024-2025 NHL season.
Originally selected by Columbus with the 31st overall pick in the second round of the 2012 NHL Draft, Dansk has played with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) for the past two seasons, compiling an overall record of 19-18-5.
In each of his two seasons, he was awarded the club's AHL Man of the Year Award for his outstanding contributions to the Calgary community.

After signing a contract with the Golden Knights in 2017, Dansk was first assigned to the Chicago Wolves, their AHL affiliate. But early in the season, he was called up to the NHL due to injuries to the team's starting goalies, Malcolm Subban and Marc-André Fleury.
The 2021-22 season saw the Stockholm, Sweden native go 6-6-1 in 17 KHL games with Spartak Moscow. Between 2015 and 2017, he played two seasons in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) with Rogle, where he recorded a 19-37-0 record and four shutouts.
The 6-3, 200-pound goalie has played in 171 American Hockey League (AHL) games with Calgary, Henderson, Chicago, and Springfield between 2014 and 24. In those games, he has a record of 90-52-28, seven shutouts, a 2.79 GAA, and.904 SV%.
Along with his 10-11 record, 2.52 GAA, and.909 SV% in 22 career Calder Cup Playoff appearances, he also helped the Chicago Wolves advance to the 2019 Calder Cup Finals.
In the 2013 and 2014 World Junior Championships, he assisted Sweden in winning silver medals in both competitions. Following a 5-1-0 record in 2014, he was named the tournament's Best Goaltender. At the 2012 U-18 World Championship, he also won silver.
Dansk, 30, was born on February 28, 1994, and has played in six NHL games with Vegas in his career. From 2017 to 21, he had a record of 4-1-0, a 3.10 goals-against average (GAA), and a.906 save percentage (SV%).
Oscar Dansk was acquired by Anaheim to add versatility and experience to their goaltending depth. His two-way contract gives him flexibility between the NHL and AHL, stability and dependable backup, and important roster insurance for the Ducks.
