Young hockey goaltender tragically collapses and dies during a game

The dekhockey community is mourning the loss of 21-year-old goalie Zachary Bourassa, who tragically passed away during a tournament final in Trois-Rivières.
Bourassa was playing in a game when he suddenly collapsed and tragically lost his life.
According to reports from Marco Normandin, the incident occurred early in the game. Zachary signaled for help, feeling unwell, before collapsing into the arms of an official. Resuscitation efforts were made on the scene, including assistance from a nurse and a respiratory therapist, but sadly, they were unable to save him.
"According to our information, early in the game, the young goalie felt unwell and called for help before collapsing into the arms of one of the officials. According to information gathered from his family by Radio-Canada journalist Kassandra Lebel, he suffered cardiac arrest."
The suddenness of the event has left the dekhockey community and those in attendance shocked and heartbroken. Eyewitnesses recounted the harrowing scene, emphasizing the efforts made to try and save the young athlete.
