Leon Draisaitl exhibits increased frustration in post-game statements

The Oilers are facing elimination on Saturday, which could be the final game of the Stanley Cup playoffs.

The Panthers are now just one win away from capturing the Stanley Cup, and given their current form, it seems nothing can stop them.

Coach Paul Maurice's team has limited the Oilers to only four goals across three games, thanks to strong defensive efforts from Aleksander Barkov and Gustav Forsling. Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has also been exceptional, keeping his team ahead.

Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, in their 9th and 10th seasons with the Oilers, respectively, might see their first Stanley Cup Finals run end as early as Saturday.

Following their third loss to the Panthers, Draisaitl was visibly upset. He appeared both defeated and frustrated as he stated:

Scoring in the playoffs is notoriously challenging, yet Draisaitl has historically excelled. In 70 career playoff games, he has amassed 105 points, including 41 goals.

This year, he tallied 28 points in 18 games through the first three rounds. However, he has been scoreless against the Panthers.

With their backs against the wall, Draisaitl must find a way to score if he hopes to help the Oilers overcome their 3-0 deficit.
